2η Ημερίδα Οργανωτικής Ψυχολογίας

Η ημερίδα θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή 4 Μαΐου 2012 (9.00 – 15.00), στο κτήριο ‘Κωστής Παλαμάς‘, στα Προπύλαια του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (Ακαδημίας 48 & Σίνα).

Βασικοί ομιλητές του συνεδρίου θα είναι οι Prof. Arnold Bakker, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands και πρόεδρος του European Association of Work & Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) και η Prof. Evangelia Demerouti, απόφοιτη του Παν/μίου Κρήτης (Τμήμα Ψυχολογίας) και Καθηγήτρια στο Eindhoven University of Technology.

PhD positions in I/O Psychology open in Zurich

By the 1st of March 2012 (or by arrangement) the Division Public and Organizational Health of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine, (University of Zurich) and the Center for Organizational and Occupational Sciences (ETH Zurich) is offering a

PhD position
Health@Work (3 years)

The PhD project „Effectiveness study of individual and organizational stress management interventions at work“ supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) is based on a large-scale, longitudinal organizational intervention study, which has been finished by the end of last year. Besides the paper-based dissertation, the PhD candidate will be part of the PhD program Health@Work, supported by the SNF, offering various courses in the field.

Tasks:

  • Support of the conceptualization, implementation and analysis of ongoing projects
  • Data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • Literature search
  • Writing scientific publications, conference contributions
  • Support of the development and conduction of teaching courses

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in social sciences, preferred (Work & Organizational-, Applied-Health) Psychology or Economics
  • Pronounced interest and ideally basic knowledge in the field of work and health
  • Experiences in planning and implementing empirical research (and publishing)
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods, especially of longitudinal data analysis
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Team spirit
  • Initiative, independence, flexibility

By the 1st of March (or by arrangement) the Chair Psychology of Work (Prof. Dr. Theo Wehner, ETH Zurich) and the Division Public and Organizational Health (PD Dr. Georg Bauer, University/ETH Zurich) are offering a

PhD Position

The central aim of the project „Volunteering as a psychosocial resource concerning work-life balance and health“ supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation is to investigate whether and how volunteering is associated with the balance between different life domains as well as with health and well-being in general.

Your responsibilities within this project will include the preparation and development of the measuring tool, the recruitment of the participants, the data gathering and analyses, and the dissemination of the findings (conferences contributions, scientific articles). Besides you will be actively involved in a research group which investigates work, society, health, and organizational change. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to participate in the PhD program Health@Work which is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in social sciences (preferred: Psychology or Sociology)
  • Pronounced interest and ideally basic knowledge in the field of work, society and health
  • Experiences in planning and implementing empirical research (and publishing)
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods
  • Proficient English language skills
